After all of this time building the arms, and legs of the metaphorical Lego Robot that is my Interactive Resume, I’m finally assembling it all, and it’s beginning to look like a near-finished product. Here’s whats new:

You pick this book up from the standee at ConVien (Not as pictured here):

to be continued when I get home…

I’m having trouble picking which color shirt our Officer should wear.
It’s time to consult the sister who studies fashion…

Art work is nearing completion. I have most all of the needed assets for ConVien done. I just need to stock the shelves, and build the remaining shelves! 2 more characters to draw (one of which is a palette swap). Foreground pieces to finalize. The light also needs tweaked with.
Not that much left Art wise, to be honest. Here’s what was done today:

You get no context. Tough love. I’ve been working hard though.

Pleece Tation/Fuzz Land Police Station is near completion. I still need to add in the Map and Cop, but other than that it’s almost ready.

Still playing around with the background color.
Also we’re in Pre-Alpha 1.5 now. I’m sure there’s a reason, but I don’t really care. The Deadline remains regardless.

I have a few ideas on what will be beyond ConVien. I was thinking about a Dock with a boat tethered perhaps. Or maybe caution tape or something. I want it to be a hard cutoff.
Maybe I could just have a point where the character stops and a voice clip plays saying “I can’t move on. I haven’t got all of the information I need!” or something.
The point is, I need an end to my world. I have a start, a middle, but no end. I’ve been brainstorming this period, and have done some sketches.

I did some concept layout work for ConVien. Looks kickin.
Also I’m picking colors for the background in the Police Station.
That’s about it.

Never before has a large wooden door put your jaw to the floor. It’s wood sleek design has been described as divine, with the gradient adjusted in a smooth perfect line. Cool to the touch, you’ll love our doorknob so much, that you’ll dance about and such. There’s more details well because I’m a male, might have to zoom in to see what it entails.

My arcade cabinet art was stale, so I re-did it today. Check it out:

I used my Lanky Kel model, which blinks, in the art so watch out for that.
Also I’m working on a police badge which will be around the police station in a few key places. Other than that I did some final tweaks (more gradient) on the E. Hopp and I think that’s looking good.

I built file cabinets out of brushed metal colors and lines today. There were no instructions outside the ones in my mind, but they seem to be working. I put them in a field that showed up at my house the other day. His colors were pretty alright, so I let him crash in the basement for now. The sky had to stay outside though, because as it turns out the sky is quite larger.

Then upon learning all about the gradient tool, I revisted the ol’ E. Hopp and started doing some touch ups. The napkin holder, The Bah-Stoo’s, Cash Register, and our good friend Boof all got Gradiented. Needs tweaked, but Shine is shine, unless you’re in a dark room.

Also you’ll notice that we’ve moved to Pre-Alpha 1.4. The numbers mean something, I’m sure but I’m not completely clear on that yet. Since 1.3 (Which was notable due to coding being complete on the walk cycle), I’ve added ‘Phee’ (needs art tweaked) behind the counter where she will tell Detective Michael all about Kel (Summary), and the town of Von Isla in general. Also there’s a cash register.
Mainly the Cash Register was what pushed this to 1.4. The Cash Register told me to tell you that, but at the end of the day after hours of self-reflection I tend to agree with the guy.
